Rock The Bridge
It was quite clear to us after the closure of Town Mill and Intake, Mansfields' Rock and Alternative community had been left with a gaping hole at its core.
On Friday 30th June 2017, we started our first regular monthly Rock & Metal club night at The Ramme Inn, called 'Rock The Ramme'. The room in the picture on the right is where it all started.
The turnout was better than expected and we had a very happy 6 months there until the venue changes hands, looking for a different direction.
It was on Friday, 16th February 2018 we moved our monthly night to The Bridge Tavern! In the new guise of 'Rock The Bridge', the patronage increased as word got out, and we continued there until Friday, 21st September 2018 until sadly another change of hands which left us homeless in Mansfield.
We tried desperately to find another venue to take on a group of well behaved, well spending Metalheads and frustratingly, it wasn't meant to be.
We moved the night to Nottingham at The Navigation Inn, where the night became known as 'Rock The Nav' and gained traction as many travelled from Mansfield, and the people of Nottingham joined in the fun too! Despite being sligtly off the beaten track, it became one of the most popular Friday nights in Nottingham for Rock & Metal....until Covid hit!
Yet another change of hands of a venue affected us, but in a timely manner, as we came out of the lockdowns, The Bridge Tavern got back in touch after hearing we were still looking to bring the noise back to Mansfield, and since Friday, 18th February 2022, 'Rock The Bridge' has been back, increased to every fortnight, and has become the all popular unstoppable monster you know it as today.

Every other Friday at The Bridge Tavern, Mansfield.
DJ Arockalypse starts the night at 20:00 and we go on until 1:00 in the morning.
Some nights are themed too for special occasions.
